Ronald Haldy

Walford- Ronald Duane Haldy was born January 25, 1943, in Cedar Rapids. He was proceeded in death by his parents Herbert and Louise Haldy and his younger brother, Leslie Haldy (March 2007). He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Wnek (Tim) and Heidi Guckenberger (Rob). He has 4 granddaughters and a grandson (Caitlin, Danielle, Parker, Temperance, and Duncan).

Ron graduated from Amana High School in 1961. He was very good at baseball and lettered all 4 years.

Ron was extremely gifted and talented; we considered him a master woodworker with all the unique and creative pieces he made over the years. He started his career in woodworking at Krauss Furniture and later went on to work at Schanz Furniture before retiring.

Ron enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was an avid Hawkeye fan and especially enjoyed cheering on the lowa football and basketball teams. 

A Graveside service will be held 10:30 am, November 28, 2025, at the Main Amana Cemetery. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Services is caring for Ronald and his Family.
