Samuel Frank Wade

Oxford- Samuel Frank Wade was born December 19, 1944 in Washington, Iowa, the son of Carroll Jay and Goldie Olene (Longwell) Wade. He graduated from English Valley High School in 1962. Sam worked for Moore Business Forms in Iowa City for many years. He enjoyed playing cards with the boys, fast cars and going to the casino, demo derbies and truck & tractor pulls. Sam died on Monday, December 14, 2020 at his home, at the age of 75 years.

He is survived by four daughters Tonja Beckman of Oxford, Michelle (Adam) Hamm of Marion, Malinda (Sue White) Wade of Des Moines and Missy Wade of Oxford; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister Joan Colbert of Sigourney; and a brother David Wade of North English. He was preceded by his parents; a son Garry Wade; and a sister Jane Dietze.

Celebration Of Life Service will be held 11:00 am on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Powell Funeral Home in North English. Burial will be in the Piersol Cemetery, rural North English. Visitation will be on Thursday, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home. Masks and social distancing are required. In lieu of flowers, a general memorial fund has been established.
