Shirley Laura Wilfong

Shirley Laura Wilfong, age 83, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Brooklyn Community Estate. Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Oakhill Cemetery, Tama. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Shirley is survived by 10 children; Shirlene (Larry) Spinler, Chelsea, Craig Howe, of Elberon, Teresa (Wynnfield) Catron, of Traer, Greg Bacon, of Chelsea, Starla Howe, of Enid, OK, Tim Howe, of Cedar Rapids, Tonya (Allen) Chmelik, of Tama, Billee (Scott) Blain, of Montezuma, Crystal (Jerry) Junge, of Keystone and Dewey (Shauna) Wilfong, of Chelsea; 122 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren combined; and a sister Ruthann Kaufmann. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dewey in 1987, two grandsons Corey and Joshua, two brothers and three sisters.

Shirley Dorman Wilfong was born October 23, 1935 in Belle Plaine, the daughter of Raymond and Clara (Fredericks) Dorman.
