Silei Kawaianianiolaie George

June 18, 1987 — January 10, 2022

Williamsburg-Silei Kawaianianiolaie George was born June 18, 1987 in Maui, Hawaii. The daughter of Julia Martin. She graduated from Baldwin High School in Wailuku, Hawaii where she learned to play the ukulele. In 2006 and 2008 she welcomed her daughters Tehani and Evangeline. In 2011, she met the love of her life, Jody George. Jody and Silei were united in marriage April 15, 2017 in Maui, HI. In 2018, Jody, Silei, Tehani, and Eva moved to Williamsburg, IA. Julia, Silei's mother, followed in 2020. Silei was employed by the Kirkwood Community College, Iowa County Center as an office assistant. Silei truly enjoyed working with all her co-workers and students. She enjoyed singing and playing Ukulele with her daughters and husband. Family karaoke nights won't be the same, she was talented and had a beautiful voice. In her spare time she loved a good family game night of Hand and Foot. She enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, and making candles. She proved to be quite the entrepreneur. She loved animals and could often be found volunteering her time at Safe Haven of Iowa County.

Silei never met a stranger. She showed love, kindness, and compassion to everyone she met. In the short time she lived in Williamsburg she built many beautiful friendships. If you had the privilege of knowing her , you know she loved hard and that she probably impacted your life for the better.

On January 10, 2022 Silei was tragically taken from us in an automobile accident.
