Susan Gillette

SIGOURNEY-Susan Patricia Gillette, age 62, of Sigourney, died Saturday, July 2, 2022, at her home.
    Susan was born November 4, 1959, in Rolla, Missouri, to George and Mary (Ogihara) Steffen.  She moved to California as a child and graduated from High School in Gardena, California.  Susan married and divorced Robert Hartzell and James Taylor.  She then married Roger Gillette.  Susan lived in South Lake Tahoe, Reedsport, Oregon, where she and Roger owned an Automotive Repair Shop, Lebanon, Missouri and Minden, Iowa before moving to Sigourney in 2021.  Susan loved the beach, cooking, especially authentic Mexican food, traveling, shopping for clothes and bargains, dinner dates with Cheryl, hanging out at Cheryl’s pool and her dogs.
    Survivors include five children: Jesse, Austin, Steffen, Quinton and Monica; a sister: Rose Gaither and friend: Cheryl Carpenter.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband: Roger.

    She has been cremated and no services are planned.
