Wellman-Terry Fisher, 61, died Thursday, March 14, 2024 at his home in Wellman.
Terry was born November 3, 1962, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Carroll and Nancy (Durst) Fisher. He has lived in the Wellman community his entire life. In 1985, he married Karri Martin and they welcomed four children; Kassandra (Mitch) Thomann, Tristen (Chelsie) Fisher, Trent (Liz Donohoe) Fisher and Mary (Warren) Taylor.
Terry worked for Leo Hall at Wade Ford Motors, Inc for many years. When Wade Ford closed in 1999, Terry and Karri opened Fisher Automotive in its place for 10 years. When the shop closed, Terry worked with his cousin Lynn Pope farming. He also began raising Berkshire meat hogs on his grandfather’s farm south of Wellman. It was his dream to build and retire at the farm. His greatest joy was watching his family grow.
Terry and Karri welcomed three grandsons; Oscar, Wylie and Weston, and were awaiting the arrival of a fourth. Terry is also survived by his siblings, Julie (Hunter) Tandy, Jerry (Dawn) Fisher, Tracy Fisher; mother-in-law Lola Martin; sister-in-law Laurie (Dave) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and father-in-law Edward L. Martin.
