Truman Schlabach

Kalona- Truman M. Schlabach, son of Mark and Sarah (Mast) Schlabach, was born September 9, 2015 in Kalona, Iowa. He died at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, following a short illness, on Monday April 4, 2022 at the age of 6 years 6 months and 26 days.
He leaves to mourn his parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters; Andrew, Joseph, Ida Ruth, Caleb, Regina, Jacob and Geneva. Grandparents Mahlon and Ruth Anna (Helmuth) Mast and Edward and Ida (Miller) Schlabach, a aunt Leona, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Truman was preceded in death by 2 stillborn cousins, Sharon Rose Mast and Esther Beachy.

The family would like to thank everyone for the prayers, help, food and support in this time of sorrow.

A Funeral Service will be held 9:30 am Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Mark Schlabach residence 2358 520th St. Sw, Kalona. Burial will be in the North Gingerich Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm and Wednesday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm at the Mark Schlabach residence. Messages and tributes may be sent to the family at www.powellfuneralhomes.com
