Vance Erwin Clinton

Watkins-Vance Erwin Clinton was born February 14, 1977, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Allen Charles and Iva Diane (Meyer) Clinton. He graduated from Benton Community High School. Vance grew up in Norway, moved to Marengo, Colorado, Hawaii and then made Watkins his home. He was employed at West Side in Cedar Rapids as a diesel mechanic. Vance enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, disc golf, golf, traveling, attending concerts, and playing cards. Vance died suddenly on Thursday, September 18, 2025, in Watkins, at the age of 48 years.

He is survived by his mom, Iva of Norway; two sisters, Crystal (Derick) Sebring of Davenport and Jolene Clinton (Nick Glover) of Squamish, BC, Canada; 6 nieces and nephews, Jack and Michael Austin, and Hannah, Brooke, Abigale and Madison Sebring. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Norway American Legion Hall. In lieu of flowers, a general memorial fund has been established. Powell Funeral Home in Marengo is caring for Vance and his family.
