Willis Ray Mast

Willis Ray Mast was born November 25, 1960, to Daniel Clarence and Verna Ellen (Mast) Mast. He accepted Christ as his Savior in his youth and was baptized in the Old Order Amish Church. On May 10, 1984, he was united in marriage to Gloria Beulah Miller, living in matrimony 41 years. He was ordained minister on November 30, 2008. He passed away at his home on May 30, 2025, after a 20 month battle with cardiac amyloidosis.

He is survived by his wife, 3 sons and 3 daughters. Susan Arlene of Kalona, Marvin Willis and LaVerda (Yoder) Mast of Fairfield, Norma Rose of Kalona, Richard Lynn and Mary (Miller) Mast of Monroe, WI, Leon Wilson and Viola Fern both of Kalona; 9 grandchildren; 3 brothers and 4 sister; Chester Mast of Harrison MI, Lena and LeRoy Yoder of Hillsboro, WI, Allen Mast of Ada, OK, Ruby and Edward Yoder of Fremont, MI, David Mast of Charleston AR, Rosanna McCarty of Stone Wall, OK; and Wilma and Kenneth Yoder of Drakesville, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Philip Wayne Mast and a grandson Phillip Mast.

A Funeral Service will be held 9:30 am Monday, June 2, 2025, at the Lester Miller Residence 5236 Hazelwood Ave, Kalona, IA. Burial will be in the North Gingerich Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 1:00 to 8:00 pm and Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Lester Miller Residence 5236 Hazelwood Ave, Kalona, IA. A general memorial fund has been established. Powell Funeral Home is caring for Willis and his family.
