It's always so hard to lose someone that you have known your whole life! As cousins, we spent a lot of happy times together as kids. I remember when Merlyn took me out in the field and showed me what an electric fence felt like! He got a good laugh out of that. Merlyn was a good guy, very devoted son and had a great sense of humor. He was so good about calling and checking in on a regular basis. I will miss our chats. My deepest sympathy to Aunt Kathryn and cousins, Jackie and Julie. Remember the good times!
I am so sorry for your loss. Merlin was always so full of life and enthusiastic. I remember playing with him, Jackie, and Julie when we would go to their house for Sunday dinners when we were kids and of course Kathryn was an outstanding cook! Our parents were great friends. Merlin
was so good to Kathryn after she went to the nursing home, visiting her every day. I hope your good memories sustain you. Our hearts go out to you.
Merlyn had a sense of humor, he enjoyed a good laugh. He also loved to use his mechanical skills as he helped with farm work.
We extend our deepest sympathies to his family, his friends that he worked with and his bigger family, the volunteer fireman of Wellman. Merlyn will be missed by us all. May the family and friends of Merlyn sense God's presence near them, experience a calm spirit and peace of mind as God comforts and sustains you all. Blessings, Allen Leichty
