Sending my sympathy to Louis’ family. My mom (Madeline) lived across the hall from Louis at Colonial Manor until she passed away in June. I remember seeing Louis when we could go inside to visit. It sounds like he lived a very fulfilling life.

Gordon L. von Ahsen on Oct 24, 2020

Oh my gosh, sad to hear, but happy to read all about his life and it brings back many many memories. I remember him playing guitar, and especially the steel guitar that he could make sound like it was singing. A favorite person to have known and be around, and remember the many country wedding celebrations where he would play his guitar with an improvised bad at all the country wedding celebrations. God bless you all as you celebrate Louis's life. From the family of Orville and Liz von Ahsen just down the road a bit east, a mile and a half from where he grew up.
