     Francisco, mejor conocido como Junior Quiñones, nació el 30 de diciembre de 1964, en San Juan Puerto Rico, hijo de Francisco Quiñones y 

      Francisco, mejor conocido como Junior Quiñones, nació el 30 de diciembre de 1964, en San Juan Puerto Rico, hijo de Francisco Quiñones y Nivia Rodríguez. Fue un amante de los deportes desde niño y se desarrolló como pelotero de pequeñas ligas. Trabajó desde muy joven repartiendo periódicos y como ujier de eventos. En 1984 contrajo matrimonio con Denisse Torres, con quien recientemente celebró su 40 aniversario. Un año más tarde; en 1985 se convirtió en padre por primera vez de Damaris Quiñones, posteriormente de Jennifer en 1988 y finalmente de Shirley en 1993. A la edad de 38 años, Francisco se convirtió en abuelo de Cristal, seguido de Jason Manuel, Matthew e Isabella, quienes fueron la luz de sus ojos y cómplices de aventuras. Junior fue un hombre extremadamente inteligente y entre otras cosas disfrutaba de la política, la historia, la cocina, la pesca, la salsa clásica, la buena comida, el dómino, los deportes; en especial el béisbol, la lucha libre, el soccer y el baloncesto. También disfrutó los años en los que trabajó su propio negocio de comida criolla, donde más que clientes, desarrolló amistades que perduraron hasta su último día. Pero sobretodo, Quiñones (como muchos de sus amigos de infancia lo conocían) disfrutaba de compartir con su familia, sus nietos y sus amigos. Francisco fue seguidor de Cristo y miembro de la Iglesia Manantial de Vida desde su llegada a Iowa a finales del año 2019.

      Junior falleció en su hogar en Mount Pleasant, Iowa el 4 de junio de 2024. Le precedió en muerte su padre Francisco Quiñones. Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Denisse Torres, sus tres hijas: Damaris, Jennifer y Shirley, sus 4 nietos: Cristal, Jason M, Matthew e Isabella, su adorada madre Nivia, sus hermanas Damaris y Olgui y sus yernos Brayan y Roberto.

      Siempre se le recordará por su infinito amor hacia su familia, su carisma, su sentido del humor y su eterna sonrisa.     El velorio se llevará a cabo de 10:00 a. m. a 7:00 p. m. el lunes 10 de junio de 2024, en la Capilla y Crematorio Olson-Powell en Mount Pleasant. Se llevará a cabo un servicio junto a la tumba a las 10:30 a. m. el martes 11 de junio de 2024 en el cementerio Forest Home.      Francisco, better known as Junior Quiñones, was born on December 30, 1964, in San Juan Puerto Rico, son of Francisco Quiñones and Nivia Rodríguez. He was a sports lover since he was a child and developed as a little league baseball player. He worked from a very young age delivering newspapers and as an usher at events. In 1984 he married Denisse Torres, with whom he recently celebrated his 40th anniversary. A year later; In 1985 he became a father for the first time to Damaris Quiñones, later to Jennifer in 1988 and finally to Shirley in 1993. At the age of 38, Francisco became grandfather to Cristal, followed by Jason Manuel, Matthew and Isabella, who They were the light of his eyes and accomplices in adventures. Junior was an extremely intelligent man and among other things he enjoyed politics, history, cooking, fishing, classic salsa, good food, dominoes, and sports; especially baseball, wrestling, football and basketball. He also enjoyed the years in which he worked his own Creole food business, where more than clients, he developed friendships that lasted until his last day. But above all, Quiñones (as many of his childhood friends knew him) enjoyed spending time with his family, his grandchildren and his friends. Francisco was a follower of Christ and member of the Manantial de Vida Church since his arrival in Iowa at the end of 2019.

     Junior passed away at his home in Mount Pleasant, Iowa on June 4, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father Francisco Quiñones. He is survived by his loving wife, Denisse Torres, his three daughters: Damaris, Jennifer and Shirley, his 4 grandchildren: Cristal, Jason M, Matthew and Isabella, his beloved mother Nivia, his sisters Damaris and Olgui and his sons-in-law Brayan and Roberto.

     He will always be remembered for his infinite love for his family, his charisma, his sense of humor and his eternal smile.

      Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Olson-Powell Chapel and Crematory in Mount Pleasant. A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Forest Home Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established to assist the family with funeral expenses.
