MOUNT PLEASANT - Yvonne Ogier, 77, died Monday, July 19, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Yvonne was born February 26, 1944 in Monroe, Wisconsin, the daughter of Leroy and Karline (Affalter) Petersen. She graduated from Juda High School in Juda, Wisconsin, and attended the Medical Laboratory Technician School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On September 22, 1963, Yvonne was united in marriage to Ted Ogier in Juda, Wisconsin. They have lived in the Mount Pleasant community since 1964. Yvonne worked for Motorola as a buyer in the purchasing department. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, serving on a variety of committees and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She loved to travel and was always ready for a new adventure. As later years slowed her down physically, she kept her mind active by crocheting and working crossword puzzles. She was a devoted mother to her children and grandchildren as well as a great many cats.

Yvonne is survived by her husband Ted of Mount Pleasant; a son, Cory (Karen) Ogier of Sierra Vista, Arizona; a daughter, Wendy (Chris) McCoy of Framingham, Massachusetts; 4 grandchildren, Anjali Tandon, Matthew Mulligan, Zach (Cheyanne) Ogier, Allie (Dan) Sterling; and a great grandson, Ezra Ogier. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Tova, and an infant brother.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant. Pastor Steve English will officiate. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-7 pm on Monday, July 26, 2021, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel.
